The AI (Artificial Insemination) belt stores a large number of loaded AI pipettes in a convenient position for the inseminating technician. They are protected from sunlight and direct impact and don’t have to be held by an assistant for the technician.
The canisters are lightweight, allowing easy climbing and flexibility, sitting well and not getting in the way. Differing straws can be put inside one or more coloured rectal gloves in each canister, compartmentalising the semen.
The belt will take more pipettes than can normally be handled in gumboots or pockets. Because larger numbers of pipettes can be carried, cross checking inventory is easier.
